Yeah, yeah, it's been forever since I've updated my little blog here, but man things have been busy. I'm teaching full time, all day, with no breaks except 25 minutes for lunch, and honestly, when I get home I'm exhausted! This woman is getting older and older! First Order OF Business! I need to say happy birthday to my wonderful son, who is 24 today! He's in the Marines, so I don't have the pleasure of having him home for the first time in 24 years for his birthday, but he knows I love him and appreciated and honor his commitment to serving! I love you Kenny! I will hopefully be able to talk to him this afternoon for a few seconds to wish him a happy birthday! New News! Oldest son is getting married! The wedding is in May of this year, so things have been crazy getting read for it. Thank God he's marrying someone that has her act together and amazingly she's pulled it all together and has everything set to go. All we need is the groom, and we are praying that the United States Marine Corps will allow him to come home that weekend! The green machine has it's own way of doing things, but we're praying they understand this special, once in a lifetime event! The grandbaby is growing rapidly and I've been fortunate enough to have her on several weekends. She's still going through all that little baby stuff, you know, crying, and can't tell me what's wrong, so it's frustrating. Now I know why God actually stops the reproductive process at a given age for women, it's too hard at this age to do it all the time. I love it when I have her, but it's nice to take her back to her mom after a couple days! One of these days she'll be walking and talking, and it will be easier for this old grandma to keep up. I have been in the studio making beads when I'm able, so go check them out on Etsy when you get time. I have an account over at ArtFire but haven't had much time to figure out the listing process. This summer I'll get it together and figure it out. In the meantime, only selling here, through Etsy and of course my shows. The 2009 Show Schedule is up and going, so check it out here. Hope everyone is enjoying spring. The northland is still under a few dirty snowpiles, but for the most part, it's over with. Gotta love Michigan, two seasons, Winter and July! Peace Out For Now! November 22, 2008 Updates on the site are underway. Make sure you check back in next weekend for the Sale! Lots of pretty things at basement prices! Just In Time For Christmas Shopping! November 9, 2008 The show at the Wex was great and I have lots of updates to make. Most have been made with sold out items. Over the course of the next week or so, I'm going to be totally updating my site, so watch for new items, ready for Christmas shopping. I'll be running a HUGE sale the weekend after Thanksgiving, starting on Friday, November 28th, so make sure you sign up for the newsletter if you haven't already, so you get the scoop on the sale! Everything on the site will be on sale, except for the sterling silver large hole beads. Finally heard from my Marine recruit son! He's safe and sound and making it through bootcamp. Thursday, his daughter was born, and he wasn't here for that, but I was there, helping to deliver her! She's gorgeous and her name is Raleigh! Here's a picture of her just a few minutes old, with grandma! I'm a little exhausted from helping out here, so give me a break on the lack of makeup and bags under the eyes! It's bittersweet, since son won't get to see or hold her until he returns in January. She'll be almost 3 months old by then!
October 25, 2008 Life has been busy! The oldest son leaves on Sunday for boot camp and I'm just trying to hold it together. I have another new website to sell my beads, so I hope you'll take a look.
