Kirsten's Weekend Beadaway!
Kirsten flew into Traverse City from Connecticut to enjoy a Weekend Beadaway in October, 2004. She speaks German semi-fluently and works full time for a major news network in Connecticut. . She also has 2 young children and a husband at home. Her neighbor is a bead artist and Kirsten felt this was an art form she would enjoy, but wanted to learn as much as she could before making a huge commitment. We had a great time and Kirsten seems to have a natural talent. She took a beginners kit home with her and promises to share her first creations working totally on her own! Thanks for a great time Kirsten, one of these days, I WILL show up on your doorstep! (I promise to call first!) So happy you could enjoy our first snowfall too! (Yeah right....it was pretty though! lol) Snow on the trampoline prevented us from doing our aerobics class. Maybe next time. Kirsten had this to say about her weekend: "Chris, thank you so much for the wonderful Weekend Beadaway experience. As a complete beginner, I really appreciated your organized approach, experience, and enthusiasm for the art of lampworking. With your patient instruction & great sense of humor, I quickly developed a sense of confidence & learned more about lampworking than I ever imagined possible in two days! Many thanks to you and your husband Larry for your kind & generous hospitality in your lovely home. I hope to return some day to expand my lampworking skills & enjoy more of Larry’s terrific cooking!" Here are her beads from the weekend! And the Demo Beads from the Weekend. Yep! She got to take them ALL!
I would really like to put the picture up of Kirsten in her Diddy Glasses, but she threatened me!
