Laurie and her husband, Paul drove down from Traverse
City for the weekend in February 2005. Laurie is a kindergarten
teacher and was looking forward to a break from a week of Valentine's
Day Parties! After a great meal, by the Head
Chef, Larry, we headed down to the studio to get to work. Laurie
proved to be a quick study, and made some absolutely beautiful beads the
first night. (See Below)
Day Two Beads are in the kiln. We made tons of
beads today! I can't wait to see how they all turned out!
More pictures will come tomorrow. |

Laurie's Beads Day One

Laurie had this to say about her Weekend Beadaway:
We had a great weekend and I learned so much.
I feel prepared to go home and get started myself. The beads I
made turned out better than I expected and I liked having the choice to
use colors I could use in a project. The food and hospitality were
most appreciated. Hope to see you again! Thanks!
Laurie's Beads Day Two
Great Beads on Day Two! That HUGE Orange and
Turquoise one in the middle is about 25mm across! Wowzers!
Nice Job Laurie! |
